About Me
When Selena was between ages 18 to 22, she went through a painful season of life challenges. Although she was devastated and lacked clarity about her future, Selena decided to put together a plan for her life and move forward. It took years of searching to navigate forward and overcome past trauma, fears, and trust issues to find inner peace. Selena discovered there is a better way; you can successfully, live your life on purpose. If she had a mentor, it could have changed her path in life. Through Queen Builders Academy Selena is giving girls the direction, she did not have.
Selena earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree(s) in Nursing, served as an Officer in the United States Air Force Nursing Corps, and worked as a Director of Nursing for almost ten years. She was frequently sought out as a mentor and coach to many women in these settings as well.
Along the way, Selena has taken lessons learned during that season of challenge in her life and created a transformational experience, that she shares with young girls in “Queen Builders Academy”. The mission of QBA is to save a generation of black girls, ages 13-19 struggling with anxiety, depression, and suicide. The focus is unique because she concentrates on inner healing and overcoming trauma, rebuilding young women from the inside out!
The stress of life: sexual assault, racism, and sexism are taking a toll on young black girls, creating serious problems —it’s been called a mental health crisis “hiding in plain sight.” The suicide rate for Black girls has increased by 182%. However, Intervention is the key, the right help at the right time.
This program helps girls experience inner healing, overcome fears and trust issues, increase self-esteem and confidence, and increase their chances of living a life of victory.
Selena was blessed to meet and marry her husband of almost twenty years, Bishop Frank S. Tull, Sr. They have six children and two grandchildren. Selena has served in ministry for over 14 years. She is a Certified Inner Healing Coach; Selena currently resides in the city of Prosper, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, writing, content creating, and traveling.
